New York with EOS Crystal

Last week I travelled to one of my favourite cities New York.  Heading down for a 24-hour press trip, I got to hang with my go-to lip balm, EOS. You know, the spheres that everyone’s obsessed with... yeah those badboys.

Not only did I want to walk you through a “How To Do NY In A Day” guide but I’m pretty excited to introduce you to the brands new revolutionary lip balm, the EOS Crystal!

Come along for the photo adventure and keep reading to find out more!

THE FLIGHT

I headed to the airport where I met the other girls travelling together.

Our flights were booked with Porter early in the AM (at least my version of early) but I was pretty excited as it was my first time with the airline. I’ve been extremely disappointed with Air Canada in the past, so I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth flight there.

If you’ve flown with Porter, you know they have a separate lounge just for their customers. Providing you with the basic needs of every irritated traveller, enjoy free refreshments, snacks and WIFI…. dreams really do come true dudes.

THE HOTEL

After landing we headed straight to the hotel for a quick check-in to:

The Ludlow Hotel, 180 Ludlow Street, NY, 10002

Which by the way is Instagram heaven... I immediately fell in love with the studio rooms and bathroom aesthetic. With mix-matched furniture, a garden terrace and french cuisine, I got to experience the city like a true New Yorker.

LUNCH

Starving (because what else is new) we headed straight for lunch at the hotel restaurant,

Dirty French, 180 Ludlow Street, NY, 10002

I got the tartare, made with a crepe indochine. If you’re into a bit of spice and raw tuna this is definitely the dish for you. I immediately asked for a ceasar with lunch, only to hesitate as the words left my mouth and the server goes “a salad”?

I always forget Caesars are a Canadian thing… only to shrug and correct myself with a Bloody Mary (the difference is the tomato juice… and no clamato in the states, such a shame). but they served up the best they could!

THE EVENT

After running to the room for a quick change and makeup fix, all the girls hopped in an uber and headed to the event.

As soon as I walked in, I was blown away. The EOS event was beautiful from the very start. With a bright aesthetic, endless amounts of bubbly and welcoming space… I couldn’t wait to see the big reveal that was set in place!

If you’ve used EOS in the past, you’re most likely familiar with the sphere lip balm you see all over the place! (Even Miley used one in her "We Can't Stop" video!)

With a delightfully flavoured evolution of smooth, I got to learn about the other products they carry. Indulging in hand lotion, shaving cream and of course the wide range of lip care offered… I was confident when pampering my skin with hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested products.

That's why when they revealed their new creation I couldn't have been happier....

DINNER

Next we did what bloggers do best... we dined!

Heading off to:

Nomo Kitchen, 9 Crosby St, New York, NY 10013, USA

We enjoyed a family style dinner, testing out a variety of the restaurants favourite dishes... guys it was revolutionary, they got me to like Kale. I mean, just take a look for yourself.

(PS. bring a sweater, the way the restaurant is built, lots of air gets trapped in the seating are and can get quite cold*)

After a long day, we were all pretty wiped and headed back to the hotel to crash. Our flights were early in the morning, so we ordered some quick room service, called an uber and headed to the airport.

Huge thanks to EOS and Faulhaber for bringing us along to learn about the EOS crystal. Keep your eye out for the launch early September, you'll definitely want to get your hands on one... it's seriously revolutionary.

Until Next Time,
