In the Spotlight with Lexi Wood

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past couple of years, you've probably witnessed or fallen victim to online pressure.

Whether it be Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or good old MSN, sharing our personal lives has become as easy as the click of a button.. literally.

The pro's and con's of the social world we've built for ourselves is never-ending.

The way we stare at a screen for endless amounts of inspiration, all while missing what's really in front of us.

We Asked Model, Lexi Wood To Share Her Experiences With Instagram And The Pressures That Come With Being On Social Media.

"Instagram and I definitely have a love hate relationship.

We will start with my love for it. I love being able to interact with my followers! Anyone can inbox me and I will answer them (unless it's super creepy).

I love sharing moments of my life, like my friends and family.. Not only is Instagram so personal for me, but really getting to know who I am and what I do.

I try to share as many modelling pictures as I can for followers to keep up with my future work!!

Sometimes Instagram can be like a job. You have to post at times when most people are likely to be on the app and try to post at least once a day. Being a model I also have to work on promoting a healthy lifestyle, BUT.. i’m pretty passionate about burgers and pizza.

So far I've been pretty lucky not getting that much hate on my photos but I'm not saying I haven't gotten any at all. People hate on a regular basis but for me, the love out weighs the hate every time. I've been in the modelling industry since I was 10 and now being 18..

I’m so used to letting hate blow over my head like its my day job… like literally, my day job.

All in all, Instagram is an amazing way to get your brand out and connect with people you never thought you would. I've met so many people from Instagram that are now some of the most important people in my life."

XOXO Lexi Wood
