M for Mendocino

This past month has been a little crazier for me.. I haven't posted much on here lately.. Not because I didn't want to, but because I made the horrible decision of getting a part-time job.
Don't worry... as soon as I got it, I dropped it. And let me tell you...
This was one more sign that I'm on the right path. I'm not sure how someone works their whole life under someone else's shadow... Especially in retail.
But here, it was clearly a joke.
I started working at M for Mendocino just a month and a half ago. I've never enjoyed working in retail but M was particularly known for their boutique atmosphere, so I thought I'd give it a try! Working at Bay & Bloor under the Holt Renfrew Centre sounded pretty sweet... Until I actually started working there. I've never been one for following schedules or restocking thousands of the same shirt... Let alone having to duck under a counter every time I walked into my store.
Yeah, something just wasn't clicking.. and two very important things to me are having room for creative growth and being able to pee when I please.
So I'm back on the freelance block and couldn't be happier. I like talking to my readers way more than caddy shoppers anyway.... Guess retail just isn't my thing.
And now that fall is on it's way I thought I'd head back to where I did one of my very first summer shoots.
