You're at the office and an employee tells you your outfit isn't work friendly. It's happened to the best of us & there's a fine line between business casual and street chic.... Sometimes finding proper business attire can be a job in itself. That’s why we’ve come up with these 3 easy steps to keep you looking good and professional at the office.
1. Stick to the 3 piece rule - Dress pants, button down, blazer.
If it’s a day you have to dress up or dress down, this 3 piece rule is a killer. Your boss will love to see you put together and it’ll only take a couple minutes to pick out your outfit.
Try leaving an extra blazer at work if an unexpected meeting comes up.. That way you’ll always have one on hand and can come in wearing just a cute top or blouse.
2. Stay away from overly branded fashion.
Every time I wear something branded like Adidas or Calvin Klein, someone has found it too sporty (which they're probably right about). But whether you look sporty chic or sporty sloppy, try and stay away from anything with loud logos. Something about it drives attention to you (and not in a good way)
3. Your shoes will either make or break your day (and your outfit). So whether you planning on sporting cute flats, heels or booties make sure they are comfortable and will get your through your day. If you know you’re going to be rocking heels pop a pair of flats in your purse or vice versa. You never know where your day will take you.
While it can be stressful finding the right outfits to wear on the job. Don't be afraid to incorporate your own style and personality into the pieces you wear.
Until Next Time
