Colour Psychology

Whoever said you can't wear white after labour day can kiss my skinny white ass. Ever since the days have become grey and gloomy, I have been super attracted to rocking that all white look. Usually when September hits, I unpack my heavier sweaters consisting of 3 colours:

black, black and well, more black.

While I was getting used to my hair being blonde, it might have been possible I caught a bit of "Kanye" syndrome… Not only does wearing white lift my spirits but I started to get this godly affect everyone’s talking about.

Ok no, I don’t think I’m some kick ass drug dealer running around Toronto…which it may or may not actually look like. But you definitely stick out when everyone else goes dark for fall.

Last year when I was suffering from major winter blues, I invested in a "happy light”. It helps to improve your mood, well being and energy.. All you have to do is plug the lamp in a few feet away from you for about 15 minutes and you should begin to feel a difference in 2-4 days!

This year when I avoided going into my classic dark slump, it was almost like an extra boost of my happy light. My clothes started to reflect how I felt and I found myself more energetic, the bags under my eyes didn’t get as dark and my appearance actually softened. As much as I don't want temperatures dropping, I’m definitely looking forward to styling this winter with white

Try it out.. let me know if it works for you or I’m just some crazy lady ranting about a colour

But seriously, let me know.

*PS. Take a peak at a good friend on mine whouwearing for more photos and her style input.
